If your travels took you to the heart of South Africa this past May, you may have caught a glimpse of the Satcom Africa 2013 conference and exhibition held in Johannesburg. The event set the stage for Africa’s satellite & telecommunications industry and provided a unique and exciting venue for leaders and decision-makers alike. SkyVision introduced its new corporate services including voice, data and video services at the recent NOGTech 2013 exhibition. The event was strategically positioned to bring together government ministries, industry stakeholders and key oil and gas professionals.
SkyVision’s team showcased its various solutions tailored to the needs of the oil and gas industry – which were very well received and generated a high level of interest amongst the visitors. VSAT Training in Dakar
As part of the company’s comprehensive customer training program, SkyVision held a training seminar in Dakar, Senegal for a team of Sales, Presales and RF engineers. The 3-day intensive training course covered a variety of subjects, including SCPC-SCPC and DVB-SCPC network topology, RF training and satellite connectivity. Student engineers also learned about service request flow, iDirect HUB topology, and related applications such as iSite.
During the course, the engineers had the opportunity to review the VSAT Installation Manual 2.0 and were able to deploy the VSAT pro app as an actual tool when aligning the antenna. The remainder of the course was dedicated to troubleshooting scenarios and concluded with an exam… where everyone excelled with flying colors!
